Frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) is a method of transmitting radio signals by rapidly switching a carrier among many frequency channels, using a pseudorandom sequence known to both the transmitter and receiver. This allows us to create an almost unlimited number of 'virtual' channels and support thousands of users at the same time. FHSS not only allows for us to create almost unlimited 'virtual' channels it also provides Beartooth with inherent robustness from channel degradation mechanisms such as multi-path, fading, doppler and in-band jamming interferers.
